Equal opportunities

We aim to embrace diversity, promote equal opportunities and eliminate unlawful discrimination in all areas of our work. We are also committed to ensuring that people have fair and open access to our services.

We welcome applications from all people irrespective of age; disability; gender reassignment; pregnancy and maternity; marriage and civil partnership; race; religion or belief; sex or sexual orientation.

As part of your application, we ask that you complete our equality and diversity monitoring form to assist us with the implementation of our Equality and Diversity Action Plan. Equality and diversity are core values and we are committed to being fair in all of our working processes.

We also ensure our contractors and consultants have a commitment to equalities and comply with relevant health and safety, employment and equal opportunities legislation.

Access to information

We are aware that some people may find it difficult to read documents such as letters or newsletters. To ensure your access to information, if required, we undertake to provide the following services free of charge:

  • If required, we will provide a copy of our Tenant Handbook or any other document in a different format or language
  • If you want to talk to us and you need a sign language interpreter because you have difficulty hearing or speaking, we can arrange this for you
  • If you need assistance because you have a first language that is not English, we can arrange for an interpreter to be present when you meet our colleagues
  • Our offices are fully accessible to those who may have a physical disability
  • Our website is tested for accessibility

We are also required to comply with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) and you can find out more about our commitment to this here.
