A wealth of housing-related information was available, with Fife Housing Group colleagues on hand to provide information on our repairs and maintenance services, the housing allocations process and our plans for the future, as well as some ideas on how you can get more involved with us, to help improve the services we deliver.
Speaking of involvement… our Resident VOICES group also formally launched their new logo at the event.
Four representatives from the group came along to help out and their stall proved to be very popular, with several people indicating they were interested in finding out more about the engagement opportunities we can offer. A HUGE thank you goes out to John, Adeline, Andy and Christine for all of their enthusiasm and support.
In addition, various partner agencies, including The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Fife Council’s Safer Communities Team, Community Wardens and Tenant Participation Officers, Wise2Welfare, NHS Health Services, Mediation Services and Greener Kirkcaldy were on hand to provide information and advice on the range of services they provide in communities.
As well as an Easter Egg for every child there was also a free prize draw and another HUGE thank you goes out to the local businesses who made this possible, including Asda St. Leonards, Tesco (Rosyth and Dunfermline), Vision One Opticians, Spar, Thomas Johnston Butchers, One Stop and The Co-operative Food – all of the winners were ‘EGGSTATIC’ with their prizes!
Our next Community Café is scheduled to take place in Methil during June – watch this space for further details which will be coming soon…
